Hammocks are made of different kinds of fabrics, which means that these fabrics get dirty. I present you some tips on how to clean hammocks:
Cotton
Hammocks made of cotton can be washed, using mild detergents, a brush and a garden hose. The hammock should be laid down. Do not hang it as cotton is stretchy and your hammock may stretch. Do not wash a clean hammock as cotton is not durable.
Polyester
Wash with mild detergents. Also, do not hang, which may cause stretching. Pour plenty of water when washing.
Dyed acrylic fabrics
Wash similarly as above. These fabrics are resistant to mildew, but dirt may accumulate in the crevices, so clean the hammock frequently.
